What the SDM Top 100 Is
Security Distributing & Marketing magazine has published the SDM Top 100 annually for decades. Rankings are based on independently reported revenue from alarm monitoring, security system installation, fire alarm systems, video surveillance, and related electronic security services provided to residential and commercial clients. Companies do not apply or campaign for a position. The ranking reflects what a company actually does.
A spot in the top 50 reflects the scale of what we do: the customers we protect, the communities we serve, and the infrastructure we have built to do it reliably. That is a meaningful benchmark in an industry with tens of thousands of regional and national players.

Part of what sets us apart at this scale is how we handle monitoring. We run our own UL-listed central monitoring station in Toledo, staffed 24/7 by local operators. Most companies operating at this scale outsource monitoring to national call centers. We do not.
We monitor thousands of accounts and serve customers across Ohio and Northern Michigan through our offices in Toledo, Columbus, and Charlevoix. Our roughly 80 employees average over 12 years, which reflects the operational experience behind every installation and service call.
